Craft Victoria Christmas Market 2016
Post market wrap-up:
I did the Craft Victoria Christmas market in 2015, which was at the Queen Vic Market and I shared a stall. It turned out to be a really good day, with lots of sales, but since it was really one of my first few markets I didn’t appreciate how well it had gone. Fast forward to 2016, and I was excited to be back at the Craft Victoria markets for 2016. The venue was 1000 Pound Bend in the city, which I felt was a little hidden, so you may not have stumbled across it unless you knew about the market previously. It’s always a little nerve racking until you get your first sale and there was some initial stress with the PayPal reader not working (I forgot my password to login!!). There was a steady flow of people around and a great atmosphere. While there were a few sales, it was no where near as many as the previous year. I thought maybe the higher price points or too many kids products wasn’t quite right for the audience. Having said that it was great to get feedback from the lovely customers and to meet some amazing stall holders.
