Seddon Markers Market – 3 June 2017
Seddon Makers Market was one of my best markets, so I’m thrilled to be back here in June. The event is so well organised and there’s a great community of people who seem to love supporting local designers and makers. I’ll be there selling my cushions, zip purses, bags, badges, greeting cards, bibs and more.
Post market wrap-up:
Despite the chilly weather and setting up outside this time, it ended up being a perfect winter’s day. The organisers were fantastic as always and provided little care packages filled with a pocket warmers (amazing), complementary drink and a chocolate. I had busily sewn some tote bags prior which I was excited about, but I wasn’t that happy with the way I had them displayed, and apart from a few glances at them, not one sold. My laminated purses sold, which was great, and then a few bits of different things. I had such wonderful feedback from a few customers, which is the best part of doing the markets. I love it when someone loves patterns just as much as I do! Met some lovely stallholders too. It felt like the day moved slow sales-wise, but it ended up being quite a good day. I was also fortunate to be one of the competition winners that the Seddon Makers Market decided to run via Instagram so my day was topped off by getting my stall cost refunded. Yay!
