Keeping it local this Christmas

Christmas seems to come around quicker as each year goes by, but I always look forward to the festivities around this time of year. My latest project is working with the North West Melbourne Precinct to brighten up the Christmas period with my Aussie Christmas pattern.

When I was working with an agent the majority of pieces they wanted was Christmas art, and after drawing the 20th Santa or snowflake, the magic and joy was taken out of Christmas. But I've recently eased myself back into Christmas, with some festive prints and love how the pattern is incorporated into the design of the rest of the artwork on the plinths and concrete planters outside the local post office and main street.

There's also Christmas wrapping paper in the same pattern available to local shops, encouraging people to shop in the area, keep it local and have some presents wrapped in my gift wrap!
