Finishing the year on a nice note with Creative Howl’s feature ‘Discover 20 Surface Pattern Designers Available for Licensing’. In amongst the fabulous group of creative individuals are some artists who are a HUGE inspiration to me! So I’m a little excited to be part of this feature. Licensing was something that I knew very little about working as a graphic designer. It’s a path that has no clear direction and can vary completely from one artist to the next - and that is both the challenge and the beauty of it!

The surface design community is such a supportive one, which has helped over the years navigate the difficulties of licensing, such as contracts, pricing and client communication. I love how Creative Howl aims to be a space where surface + graphic designers and illustrators can find helpful resources to develop and grow their business and their creative style.
